Illumination

Towards a Mystical Reading of Scripture

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to "Illumination," a transformative course designed for both beginner and expert Scripture readers seeking to deepen their understanding of the Bible. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Celtic practice of scripture illumination, this course invites participants to explore the rich tapestry of biblical texts through a blend of study, reflection, and community engagement.

During this course, we will engage with select passages of Scripture, utilizing various techniques to uncover deeper meanings and insights. Participants will learn to read the Bible not just as a text, but as a living exploration that speaks to the heart and soul.

Classes will be held via Zoom at 9:10 AM (ET) on Sunday mornings throughout the Lenten season, creating a lively virtual space for discussion and connection. Each session will incorporate themes from the mystic path, encouraging participants to reflect on their spiritual journeys and personal experiences in relation to Scripture. Every session will be recorded and will be available for members to replay.

Join us as we embark on this enlightening journey together, uncovering the beauty and wisdom of the Bible while fostering a deeper relationship with God and each other.
