Biblical Women
and God’s Attitude of Gratitude
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This class explores the theme of gratitude—not only to God but also from God. As Thanksgiving nears, let this year’s preparation include attention to food for the soul from Scripture. More specifically, this class combines academic insights with meaningful conversation as we explore the stories of Rebekah (Genesis 24), Rahab (Joshua 2), Deborah (Judges 4-5), and Hannah (1 Samuel 1-2). All of these women take risks to serve God, and all of them receive rewards. Join us as we explore biblical stories to increase our awareness of the risks we take and rewards that we receive in God’s service.
