Praying in the Way

of St. Ignatius of Loyola

COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this series, we will explore Gospel Contemplation, a way of prayer taught and practiced by St. Ignatius of Loyola. These four contemplative meditations will focus on God’s undying love that we witness this time of year as we celebrate Christmas.

The first session will introduce Gospel Contemplation and include an experience of the practice. The following three meditations will focus on the Incarnation, the Annunciation and the Nativity, offering us a deep spiritual experience within the hubbub of December.

All that is needed to participate is a curious heart and an interest in exploring new ways to connect your faith to your daily life. These participatory experiences are an invitation into a deeper experience of the all-encompassing love of God in a time of year where secular demands of the holiday can feel overwhelming. This timely series invites all to rest in a love that knows no bounds.

All materials for each session will be provided. Participants are encouraged to print these out and have them available.
